Alto Cumulus is a female Lesser Sooty Owl, or Tyto multipunctuata, who's name was derived from a middle-altitude cloud genus. She was the great-grandmother of Silver, a young Sooty raised by the Pure Ones before joining the Guardians after the Great Downing, though it is unconfirmed if she herself had any connection with the radical supremacists of the Tytonic Union of Pure Ones.
