Bao was a female blue long-eared owl. She was alive during the time of Theo, and went on a journey to the Southern Kingdoms when her son, Tengshu, was very young. She had a mate and a few other unnamed children. It is unclear for what reason she made this trip, and what the outcome was. She was only ever mentioned by Tengshu, never officially appearing. She is presumably deceased.
