The Bat Chieftain was the leader of the bats and an antagonist in Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole (DS game).

The Bat Chieftain was seen in the part featuring the Desert of Kuneer. Shard defeated him by throwing hot coals at him. After he's defeated, Shard rescued Uriah.
When Shard and his companions reach the main bat hideout where all the rest of the non-Tyto owlets are being kept, they are attacked by the Bat Chieftain and they battle with him, defeating him by throwing hot coals at him. After he's defeated, Shard rescues Uriah from the bats' prison.
Trivia[]
- The chieftain is much larger than the other bats, slightly more muscular and far more powerful. This is evidenced by the fact that he can only be damaged by hot coals.
- 'Chieftain' is a term also used by wolves in Wolves of the Beyond.
