Colonel Frost Blossom is an unusually small female Northern Saw-whet Owl, or Aegolius acadicus, and a commander of the Northern Kingdoms. She was in charge of the E company in the Frost Beaks division. She speaks in a thick Krakish accent.

She appears in the Battle of Fire and Ice, landing near Bubo and asking about the situation; they discuss plans and strategies. Bubo is polite, correcting himself when he called her 'ma'am', but the commander corrects him and says, "Just call me Bloss. Most do."
