Dill and his mate Jacy had been living in Kuneer for years when they heard the news that the Pure Ones were invading. Odell passed the message to them from Tavis and Cletus. Dill and Jacy knew leaving would be a big decision, and that they had to warn their neighbors, the young couple and their eggs. They were so caught up in talking, they didn't notice the sound of digging from beyond their burrow. They were thrown of their feet as a Sooty Owl rushed in and killed them.
