Fitzmore McFang is the dire wolf chieftain of the McFang Clan. After Gyllbane betrayed the MacHeaths and became clanless, Fitzmore, in a show of kindness, took her in as a member of his clan, though Gyllbane would eventually depart and join the MacNamara Clan.
History[]
The Golden Tree[]
When trying to gather wolf reinforcements to join her, Coryn and the Band in their raid on the Tunnel of Despair, Gyllbane prevailed on Fitzmore to provide assistance and the chieftain of the McFangs thus came with Adair, his fearsome mate, and their son Fitzy to join the small force mustered the Shadow Forest. There, after the small group of wolves were briefed on the alliance formed between Nyra and her legion and what remained of the all-but massacred MacHeath Clan, who had since become vyrrwolves, they travelled to the Canyonlands in a byrrgis, gathering on a ridge, then crouching outside the Tunnel of Despair, prepared to take down an enemy wolf should it escape before it could become a monster under the moonlight. Fitzmore subsequently participated in the Battle for the Book of Kreeth, fighting twisted members of his kind and Pure Ones alike and presumably survived and returned to his clan.
Personality[]
Fitzmore was evidently a kind-hearted wolf who was willing to accept runaways like Gyllbane into his own clan, offering her a place among the McFangs despite her status as a former MacHeath, a clan who many others held a low opinion of. He was also clearly courageous, made evident by his decision to join Coryn and Gyllbane's forces against Nyra and Vyrrwolves, the latter of was apparently a source of fear among the dire wolf race.
