Garn was a blacksmith owl that lived on Dark Fowl Island. His species is unknown. Due to his old age and the book taking place when Ezylryb was an owlet, it is likely that he is now deceased.

He is only briefly mentioned when Rask says that Garn had begun using caribou droppings to fuel his fires, and that he was getting too old to keep making the trip between the Northern Kingdoms and Beyond the Beyond.
