Hrenna was a Snowy Owl and mother of Moss. She was a fighter in the Kielian League and a commander of a unit called the Flying Leopards when Ezylryb was an owlet. Her left talon was wounded in battle, and as it healed her talons fused together in a black lump.

The Rise of a Legend[]
Hrenna came back to her hollow after fighting, and was greeted by her happy family. Lyze observed that Moss didn't look happy, but rather frightened.
A few nights later, Lyze's family visited Moss' hollow, having been invited. While the adult owls were talking with Hrenna, Moss cowered against her, wilfing. Lyze realized that Moss was ashamed of his mother's deformity. Hrenna explained how her talon, which was now rather club-shaped, could be used as a weapon, almost like a snow leopard's paw. She later came to lead a commando unit called "The Flying Leopards".
