Unser was an owl lord of unknown species during the time of Hoole who's followers warred with those of Lord Arrin's in the constant struggles for power waged between the various factions formed in the wake of Arrin's first defeat in Beyond the Beyond.

Lord Unser was mentioned as Emerilla and Theo as they discussed the state of constant anarchy the N'yrthghar was current in, which had spread so far to the point of Unser and Arrin's armies fighting for power even near the Bitter Sea.
