Sergeant Luka (known formally as Sergeant Luka Strix Varia) is a male Barred Owl and an officer in the Kielian League. He was also an acquaintance of Lillium and Lyze during their military career and attended their wingfast ceremony.

The Rise of a Legend[]
A personal aid of General Andricus Tyto Alba, Luka, at the request of Lyze, was dispatched to find and collect Ifghar to attend the wingfast of Lyze and Lillium. Returning with Ifghar and Gragg, who were apparently under the impression that Ifghar presence was requested in a meeting with the General, Luka was subject to Ifghar's angry protests towards Gragg being denied entry, crisply reply that he had his orders. When Strix Struma chastised Ifghar for his belligerent attitude, Luka gratefully thanked the Spotted Owl for her backing, then answered with a slight smile in her tone that Lillium was already in the hollow. As Ifghar asked in horror whose wingfast ceremony was occurring, Luka answered, revealing Lillium's union with Ifghar's sibling. Luka subsequently watched the wingfast as Andricus declared the two Whiskered Screeches united in marriage.
