Marella is a female Barn Owl, or Tyto alba, and a minor deuteragonist in Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole. She is the mother of Kludd, Soren and Eglantine, as well as the mate of Noctus.

Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole[]
Marella's role in the movie is very similar to that in the novels, except that she is not murdered by the Pure Ones. Instead, she and Noctus, her mate, travel to the Great Tree to greet Soren and the victorious Guardians after the battle with the Pure Ones.
Trivia[]
- In the movie, Kludd resembles Marella more than his father.
- In the movie, Marella is seen at the Great Tree with her mate, Noctus, while in the books, she is dead when Soren and the Band find the Guardians.
- In the books, she is mentioned to look a lot like Nyra, but with a smaller face and darker plumage, but in the movie the two look nothing alike.
