It is possible that they may look similar to the Naked Mole Rat.
The Naked Rockmunk is a fictional species of rodent only found in the Shagdah Snurl of the Northern Kingdoms. They generally live in burrows near the lava lake of the Nacht Sted volcano, and are hairless despite the freezing temperatures above ground, due to all of their needed warmth being provided by the volcano's heat.

On their scientific expedition to the Shagdah Snurl, Lyze, Blix and Loki visit Loki's mother, Wynnifred. She asks Loki to go fetch some of the naked rockmunks to cook and eat. This is the first cooked food Lyze ever eats.
