Octavia (Also known as Brigid) is a Kielian nest-maid snake at the Great Ga'Hoole Tree who serves both Madame Plonk and Ezylryb. In her past, Octavia flew with Ezylryb in the War of the Ice Claws as one of the first snake members of the Glauxspeed Division. She was noted to be a cyan celadon of a turquoise hue by Brother Oliver at the Glauxian Brothers' Retreat.
History[]
The Rise of a Legend[]
Octavia was in the War of the Ice Claws and fought side by side with Lyze of Kiel and his mate, Lil, as she played a major role in Bylyric's downfall since she was the one who pinpointed his location. She was also the one who suggested Thora go to the Dark Fowl Island, and introduced Orf the blackmith to her. Near the end of the war, Octavia lost her eyes after they were plucked out by an enemy Great Gray Owl. She and Lyze then retreated to the Glauxian Brothers' Retreat and spent some time there reflecting in silence. Later, she, with Thora, introduced the idea of Lyze being a ryb, So she with Lyze flew to the Great Tree and suggested that he hang up his battle claws.
The Journey[]
The weather chaw ate at her as the table, and she expressing that the chaw members eat the hair of their food. She also tells Poot to refrain from speaking of death by hurricane.
The Rescue[]
Octavia told the chaw of chaws about her relationship and early life with Ezylryb, as they had always suspected she knew something about him they did not.
