Pollianne was a Barn Owl and past member of the Ga'Hoolology Chaw. They lived a few centuries before the events of the series. Based on their name, they are most likely female, but their gender is never specified.

With the guidance of their ryb Isolde and their fellow students, they helped to inspect the Great Tree when it became sickly. When the source of the sickness, the Blackfire Mushrooms, was discovered by Isolde, they were sent with Hildeth, one of their fellow students, to seek out Aude, a tree healer.
