Sir Ross is a black dire wolf, and member of the MacHeath Clan. He got an impressive scar in a skirmish with MacDuncans. Not much else is known about him.

When Nyra meets with the MacHeath clan for the first time, Sir Ross is commanded by Lord MacHeath to bring the talking bone to Nyra to indicate that she may give her information first.
