The Search-and-Rescue Chaw, also known as the Battle Chaw in the film, is a chaw at the Great Ga'Hoole Tree that was led by Barran, with Twilight and Pellimore later becoming the rybs. It specializes in search-and-rescue, as well as combat, in which battle claws are used. Twilight teaches a special class for chaw members only, Advanced Battle-Claw Fighting Techniques. When owls are tapped for this chaw, a moulted feather is the object placed in their nests.
