The Strix Struma Strikers were an elite fighting force of owls at the Great Ga'Hoole Tree. They were originally founded by the navigation ryb Strix Struma, who was also the first commander of the force. They saw action in the Battle of the Siege, the Battle of the Burning, and during the War of the Ember at the battle in the Beyond. All members were excellent fliers. Other notable members include the Short Eared Owl Ruby and the Spotted Owl Otulissa, who eventually became the leader of the Strikers after Struma's death.
