The Glauxian Sisters are a group of female owls who are very similar to The Glauxian Brothers in that they strive for peace and shun violence. They are led by one owl whom they call The Mother Superior, who is chosen to be their leader through an unknown process. The Glauxian Sisters dedicate themselves to meditation, prayer, and the studying of arts and healing. Members of the Glauxian Sisters are required to take a vow of silence, which they are only allowed to break in the event of an injured owl in need of healing. The Sisters are so peaceful, that they do not hunt, but rather live a sort of pescetarian lifestyle, only consuming plants like kelp, along with seafood such as oysters and snails. They avoid having to consume anything with blood in it.
The Glauxian Sisters reside on Elsemere Island, in the Glauxian Sister's Retreat.
